The show has a build day  on Thursday when the bikes need to be delivered to the stand and the stand dressed. Late Sunday afternoon, break down takes place, and bikes may then be removed. THE QUICK RUN SUNDAY 5TH JULY

We experimented with this ride out last year and feel sufficiently encouraged to repeat it in 2015! The idea is to choose a route with more open aspects for the faster classic machines that we own allowing us to lift the pace a little, open the throttle and allow the riders to  feel the wind the wind in their hair! If this is not possible for you, please still feel free to join us! It will start from The National Motorcycle Museum, meeting at 10.30am to leave at 11am stopping for lunch after approx. 70 miles and returning to the museum via a different route again. The route has been chosen to be as free of speed cameras as possible but naturally will respect speed limits as far as any speedo inaccuracy will allow! There will be no motorways involved! And yes, I have been asked this question! Bob Badland has planned and organized it but has not offered to buy everyone lunch as yet!

Although this event is not a VMCC event, members Brian Thomas and Mike Drakeley put on a delightful display of Classic Bikes in the motorcycle section of this huge spring show. Both are members of the Association of Pioneer Motorcyclists and it is them that we represent here. A number of our members share dual membership of both clubs. It is predominantly a classic motor sport show but bikes are always well represented. If you enjoy classic motorsport in all it’s forms, you will certainly enjoy visiting. If sufficient numbers express an interest in riding out from Catherine – de – Barnes on the Sunday morning, I am sure Bob Badland will lead the way. www.raceretro.com

We will  be treated to a short chat on classic bike insurance before we kick off which will especially appeal to those of you young enough to get your leg over! ( A Classic Bike I mean, behave yourselves!) Ooh , and Bob Badland will speak for a few moments too, but please do not let this put you off coming, he will not be on stage for long! 7.30 for 8.0pm please, just enough time to treat your web site news guy (yup, that’s me) to a quick beer before we get started! See you there!

Over 50 members joined us for our Annual Auction Sale, Richard French and Alan Price once again doing a splendid job of clearing the auction table and enhancing our club funds to the tune of over 180 of your English pounds!
